The Personal Stuff
Online Counseling Jennifer Hughes, PhD Proud Member of TherapyDen

I provide exclusively online therapy to patients in Texas and all PsyPact states. As a psychologist and therapist, my primary goal is to make therapy accessible to survivors of trauma and PTSD. I know how hard it can be to find a therapist you feel can truly sit with you as you process your darkest moments, especially after trauma. As a client, I believe the main deciding factor should be whether you feel safe and comfortable to work with me as we process your trauma. That said, if we do not seem to be a good fit at any point, I will be your greatest advocate to find you a better fit.

My approach to therapy is to be genuine, first and foremost. Unless I am my genuine self, I don’t believe I can truly connect with my clients. After that, I want to find the right treatment approach to help my clients meet their treatment goals. This may include evidence based treatment for PTSD and/or other individualized approaches to treating symptoms caused by PTSD and trauma.

While I have treated trauma survivors across the lifespan, I currently specialize in treating adult survivors of medical trauma, survivors of traumatic injury and their loved ones, and vicarious trauma in healthcare providers. I also have particular expertise in treating survivors of natural disasters and survivors of childhood and adult physical and sexual assault. Regardless of the traumas in your life, I am here to help you regain your innate strength so you can once again embrace life.

I provide exclusively online therapy to patients in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and all PsyPact states.
